2nd Annual Sustainability Week: A Green Group Event

JOIN THE EXPERIMENT

The Sustainable Heights Network 2nd Annual Sustainability Week invites everyone to participate in No Impact Week, a one-week personal carbon cleanse from October 16 - 23. Participants will experience the difference that lowering their impact can have on their quality of life, their community, and their planet. It’s about discovering how these lifestyle changes can increase personal fulfillment, health, happiness, and time with family and friends! Beginning Sunday, October 16th participants will work through a series of eight daily challenges, from decreasing trash production to eating locally and sustainably.

Register here to join the challenge! When you register, you’ll receive the fun and engaging How-To Guide, which will walk you through each day’s challenge.   Be sure to inlcude the team name, Christ Episcopal Church, Shaker Heights on your form.

IT'S ABOUT YOU, YOUR COMMUNITY, AND THE WORLD
We are the first cities in Ohio to host a No Impact Week—be a part of a ground-breaking experiment!

Join alone or get your family, friends, neighbors, block club, schools, faith community and community groups to take the challenge together! Help us sign up 1000 community members. This event is free and open to all, including those who live in the Greater Cleveland area. Follow the progress of our Featured Bloggers, and share your experiences, on our No Impact Week Facebook page.

GET INSPIRED-Watch the film that started it all!

Join Sustainable Heights Network and the No Impact Project for a free screening of the Sundance-selected documentary, “No Impact Man,” Thursday, October 13th, at 7 pm at the University Heights Library, 13866 Cedar Road, University Heights. No Impact Man chronicles author Colin Beavan’s yearlong experiment to live with no environmental impact with his wife and toddler in New York City. What would it be like to live in a more environmentally conscious way? Is it more or less satisfying? Could it catch on? These are the questions at the heart of the experiment. (Seating limited: Reserve online at sustainableheightsnetwork.net or call 320-1423.)

No Impact Week is hosted by the Sustainable Heights Network, organized in 2010 by Heights citizens to promote sustainability through the power of community networking in Cleveland Heights and University Heights, Ohio. The No Impact Week is a program of the No Impact Project, the nonprofit founded by Colin Beavan after his yearlong experiment. Learn more at noimpactproject.org.
