Slow Food Movement
Dear Christ Church Friend,
We continue our summer series of eNews articles on sustainability. The link below is to an article on the slow food movement which originated in Italy about twenty years ago as a reaction by Italian culinarians to the fast food movement. I don't know about you but nothing is sadder to me when I travel abroad than seeing a McDonald's on the corner of some street in exquisite cities like Florence or Delft!
This article moves the argument for the slow food movement even further than just eating wholesome and well-prepared foods, linking it to the sustainability of the earth, community gardens and ultimately our spiritual health. I hope you enjoy it.
