Stewardship
'Twas the Week before Christmas...
’Twas the week before Christmas and all through the church
the Peace Tree was up, and for gifts we still search.
With vestments of blue, and signs of preparation,
we wait for a birth in great expectation.
But to the Parish Vestry much joy has come
enough to make them roll the drum,
for you have pledged quite well indeed
to give the funds for next year’s needs.
Your Stewardship Pledges were well received —
a measure of your faith indeed,
that Christ Church will grow in twenty-eleven
and bring us all much nearer to heaven.
The Stewardship Committee wants to thank
you for your gifts that support our bank.
Letters soon will be mailed to all
confirming pledges large and small.
In the meantime, if you still hedge
and haven’t made your next year’s pledge,
then worry not, it’s not too late
to complete your card and step up to the plate.
And now the time has come to rest,
and wait for Him who makes us blest.
Have a quiet Advent preparation
for the Birth of Adoration.
Bob Elliott and your Stewardship Committee

Stewardship Ministries
The many tasks that contribute to the care of Christ Church constitute Stewardship in this faith community, including:
- Participation in Vestry, standing committees, the Community Meal ministry, Outreach ministries, and other leadership roles;
- Participation in semi-annual clean-ups of the property, both inside and outside;
- A pledge of financial resources to the annual operating budget;
- Participation in and financial support of our mission-based ministries (e.g., Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) hosting, Community Meal, Heifer International, the Homeless Stand Down, the Community Garden, 30 Hour Famine);
- Regular attendance at worship services, as well as Christian Formation offerings: adult forums, youth group meetings, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for children, Bible Study, Education for Ministry (EFM), Lenten Study programs;
- Planned giving through gift annuities and estate bequests.
If you would like more information please contact Katie Ong-Landini, Senior Warden, or call the church office.
