Christ Church Choir

The Christ Church Choir is a fun-loving but hard-working all-volunteer group which welcomes everyone.  The choral repertoire is diverse, including traditional classical anthems and service music, global music, songs and chants from the Taize and Iona communities, spirituals and gospel music. Children and youth, both singers and instrumentalists, are afforded opportunities to participate in the worship services. Contact Anne Wilson ( for more information.

The Organ

Christ Church's three-manual mechanical-action pipe organ was built by the Rieger shop in Austria. It was installed in 1980 and was dedicated on Palm Sunday in a festival service with the Bishop of Ohio.

Music Director

Music Director and Organist Anne Wilson enjoys working with all age groups and loves sharing her passion for the diverse music written for the church. She is active in the Cleveland musical community, serving as Staff Accompanist at Case Western Reserve University, Piano Instructor at The Music Settlement, and Rehearsal Pianist for Apollo’s Fire. She has won first or second prizes in seven national and international organ competitions and has been featured on National Public Radio’s Pipedreams program and Cleveland radio station WCLV’s Not the Dead, White, Male Composers Hour.  Her compositions have been performed at such venues as the Chautauqua Institution, the Aspen Music Festival, the Julliard School, and the Amsterdam Cello Biennale.  Anne has two adult daughters, and in her spare time she enjoys playing jazz piano and pickleball.
“The Christ Church choir is a vibrant group that enjoys worshipping God through song.  Our director/organist is wonderfully talented and brings out the best in us.  We sing a wide variety of hymns and anthems, often incorporating rhythm instruments, bells, or recorder.  I find great joy being part of the choir and truly believe that “She who sings, prays twice.”
